One of my favourite sites held a competition to try and get guitarists NOT to shred. This was my entry. I didn’t win, but I was rusty as hell. I don’t think it was too bad actually.
I did over 200 gigs with Sledge, travelling all over New South Wales. When you are in a band for that long the guys become family, with all the ups and downs that go with it. This montage shows just howm uch fun we had on stage, and how much energy we put out there, something that made us very different from every other pub rock cover band that was doing the rounds at that time.
This was meant to be a duo gig, with Ian from Sledge as well. But the previous night Ian’s guitar took a tumble, and snapped in two. So the whole show was left to me.
This was taken on an AWFUL cheap digital camera, so I apologies for the quality, or lack there of.
I’m actually nervous writing this. What a strange sensation.
Welcome to the new, improved and now definitely active Chris Watson Music website. Finally, I have gotten off my arse and will be attempting to do what I really want to do: make music. As soon as I finish writing this post, I will be heading over to my other long term site, GuitarToyBox, to close up shop for the forseeable future. If you want to know why I am going to stop there for the time being feel free to head over, but this post is about this site, and what I want to do with it. [..]
